How to Fix Enchantment Descriptions Not Showing

Check the Basics First

If descriptions are missing, confirm the mod is actually loaded. Open your mod list from the main menu and search for it. If it does not appear, the file is not in the correct mods folder or is being blocked by a loader mismatch.

Next, verify you are hovering a genuinely enchanted item. Unenchanted items, renamed items, and items with only lore text will not show enchantment descriptions.

Config and Keybind Conflicts

Open the mod's config screen. Some setups default to showing descriptions only while a key is held. If you never press that key, you will never see the text. Change the mode to always show, or check your keybinds for a conflict where another mod has claimed the same key.

Also check that tooltip-related options from other mods are not hiding the description lines. Mods that compress or reorder tooltips can push the description off-screen or suppress it.

Client-Side Nature

This mod runs on the client, so it works on servers that do not have it installed. If descriptions appear in singleplayer but not on a server, the issue is usually a resource pack or another client mod overriding tooltips, not the server. Disable other tooltip mods one at a time to isolate the conflict.
