Understand Each Mace's Strengths
Each elemental mace excels in different situations. The 
Smouldering Mace creates a protective ring of fire that damages enemies over time while keeping you safe from flames—ideal for sustained close-range combat. The 
Ender Mace launches mobs into the air, letting them take fall damage when they crash down; use this against flying mobs or in elevated terrain. The 
Withering Mace spawns a wither magic cloud that damages nearby enemies without harming you, making it excellent for crowd control. The 
Resonating Mace releases a sonic blast that blinds enemies in a wide area, similar to the Warden's attack.
Match Your Situation
For single tough enemies, the Ender Mace's knockup and fall damage combo works well. Against groups of weaker mobs, the Withering Mace's area effect is more efficient. If you're low on health, the Smouldering Mace's protective fire ring gives you breathing room. The Resonating Mace shines when you need to disable multiple enemies quickly. Consider what threats you face most often in your current area before committing to one weapon.
