Trigger the Elemental Blast

All elemental maces require a specific attack pattern to activate their special abilities: you must jump and attack while descending. Simply swinging while standing still won't trigger the magical effect. Time your jump so you're falling when you land the hit on your target.

Practice Your Timing

Approach an enemy and jump toward them. As you fall, swing your mace. You'll see the elemental effect activate—fire rings, floating mobs, wither clouds, or sonic blasts depending on your weapon. The higher you jump before attacking, the more dramatic the effect. In combat, use terrain to your advantage: attack from elevated surfaces, jump off cliffs, or use blocks to gain height. This mechanic rewards positioning and timing, making fights more dynamic than simple ground-level swings. Practice against weak mobs first to get the rhythm down before facing dangerous enemies.
