Make Glowing Plankton Appear in Your Ocean

Requirements

Glowing plankton only spawn naturally in warm ocean biomes. If you're not in one, you'll need to travel to find them.

What to Expect

When entities fall into warm ocean water, you'll see blue glowing splashes, droplets, and ripples. These effects create an enchanting bioluminescent atmosphere.

Building with Glowing Plankton

To showcase this effect:

1. Create a pool or channel in a warm ocean biome

2. Make the water at least two blocks deep

3. Have mobs or players fall into the water

The glowing particles will automatically trigger. This effect works great for decorative pools, ocean bases, or creating an otherworldly underwater aesthetic. The deeper and more active your water is, the more visible the effect becomes.
