Customize Biome Distribution Across Your World
Adjusting Biome Frequency
Biomes can feel too common or too rare depending on your preferences. Use the mod's biome settings to control how often different biomes appear.
1. Create a new world with Custom world type
2. Click Edit rules and navigate to the Biomes category
3. Look for biome frequency or scale sliders
4. Increase frequency to make biomes smaller and more varied across short distances
5. Decrease frequency to create larger biome regions that feel more distinct
6. Adjust individual biome settings if the mod allows per-biome customization
7. Click Generate Preview to see the biome distribution on a test landscape
8. Create your world when satisfied
Fine-Tuning Surface Details
Biomes also control what grows on the surface. In the Surface Vegetation section, you can adjust foliage distribution—control how many trees, flowers, and grass blocks generate in each biome. This lets you create lush forests, sparse savannas, or barren wastelands as desired.
After creating your world, you can continue refining biome rules in real time. As you explore new chunks, your updated biome settings will apply to freshly generated terrain.
