Taking to the Air
Most of DragonLoot's armor behaves like ordinary equipment, but the 
Winged Dragon Scale Chestplate is different: wearing it enables flight. That single mechanic is the main reason players seek this mod out, and it sits at the top of the armor line alongside the standard 
Dragon Scale Chestplate.
Flight comes from the chestplate slot, so you give up nothing else to use it — the rest of the set (helmet, leggings, boots) can still be worn normally for protection. If you want the full benefit, craft the complete set and swap in the winged chestplate when you need to travel.
The mod's configuration section exists, so server owners and players can adjust how the mod behaves. Beyond that, the mod stays focused: scales, a 
dragon anvil to craft with, a full gear tier, and one flight-enabled chestplate. No extra systems to learn.
