Set Up Your First Companion Party

Gather and Store Your Companions

Start by crafting and placing a Companion Codex block in your base. This is your central hub for all companion management. Open the codex interface and shift-click companions from your inventory to store them inside. You can store as many companions as you've collected.

Build Your Party

Inside the codex interface, you'll see your stored companions in a left-side pool. Click companions to select them for your active party. Left-click one companion to designate them as your party leader—this companion will anchor your group's abilities.

Your party combines the temporal modifiers and relics of all selected companions, so choose members whose effects complement each other. Check the party curse display at the bottom to see what penalties your team will face based on your server's settings.

Equip and Activate

Take a Companion Crest from the codex interface and equip it in your head Curios slot. This binds your assembled party to you. You can now toggle companion visibility on or off, and your party is ready for vault runs. Save this setup as a preset if you plan to use it again.
