Using Emissive Ores to Mine Cobblemon Ores Efficiently

Plan Your Mining Route Around the Glow

Because the glow is visible from a distance, you can survey a cave before committing to it. Enter a large cavern, stand still for a moment, and let your eyes adjust. Colored points on the ceiling, walls, and lakebed tell you where the ores are without you walking every tunnel.

Tool and Light Discipline

1. Carry the correct pickaxe tier for the ore you are targeting; Cobblemon ores follow vanilla harvest rules.

2. Do not blanket the cave in torches. Place light only where you are actively mining so distant ores stay visible.

3. Mine the ore and immediately check the surrounding blocks; Cobblemon ores can generate in small clusters.

4. Keep a water bucket for lakebed ores so you can drain or swim safely.

Branch Mining With the Pack

In strip mines, the glow does not help because ores are hidden behind stone. Use the pack for cave exploration and ravine runs instead. When you do branch mine, place a torch every few blocks and periodically look back down the tunnel; exposed ores on the walls will stand out against the dark.

Storing and Sorting

Keep Cobblemon ore drops in a dedicated shulker or chest near your base so you do not mix them with vanilla ore drops. This makes it faster to craft the mod's items later.
