Finding Cobblemon Ores on Cave Ceilings and Underwater
Why the Glow Matters for Searching
Cobblemon ores spawn in the same stone and deepslate layers as vanilla ores, but their valuable drops are easy to miss because they blend into dark rock. The emissive pack turns each ore's mineral core into a small light source in your view, which is exactly what you need when scanning large open caverns.
Scanning Ceilings
1. Bring a stack of torches but do not light the ceiling yet; light hides the glow.
2. Stand near a wall and look straight up. Sweep your view slowly across the ceiling in horizontal strips.
3. Watch for small colored points that do not flicker like lava or glow lichen.
4. Once you spot one, pillar up or use a water bucket elevator to reach it.
Scanning Underground Lakes
1. Approach the water edge without placing light blocks in the water.
2. Look down through the surface. Emissive ores on the lakebed stay visible through water because the glow is rendered on the block face.
3. If the water is deep, swim down along the wall and check the floor in a grid pattern.
4. Mark found ores with a torch on a nearby dry block so you can return after mining.
Combine this with Night Vision only if you still struggle; Night Vision flattens contrast and can make the glow harder to distinguish.
