Mine and Use Soul Oak Wood

Finding Soul Oak

Soul Oak trees grow naturally in Soul Sand Valleys, the eerie biome found in the Nether. Mine Soul Oak logs with any axe to collect them. Unlike regular wood, Soul Oak has a distinctive spooky appearance that makes it perfect for gothic, haunted, or dark-themed builds.

Processing Soul Oak

Place Soul Oak logs in a crafting grid or furnace to produce Soul Oak planks. These planks work like standard wood planks—you can craft them into doors, trapdoors, stairs, and slabs using normal recipes. Soul Oak also drops Soul Wax when processed, a crafting material used in various mod recipes.

Building with Soul Oak

Use Soul Oak planks with the Carpenter Table to create matching decorative furniture and beams that fit the spooky aesthetic. Combine Soul Oak with Soul Slate blocks and dark lighting sources like sconce torches and braziers to build atmospheric rooms, haunted mansions, or Nether-themed structures. The wood's dark tone pairs well with other dark materials from the mod.
