How Lapis Lazuli Trim Works

When you hit a mob with a Lapis Lazuli-trimmed sword, all mobs of the same type within range glow for 45 seconds. This makes them visible through walls and in darkness.

Applying and Using

1. Apply Lapis Lazuli trim to any sword at the smithing table

2. Strike one mob in a group

3. All matching mobs in the area immediately glow

Practical Applications

• Cave exploration: Hit one cave spider to see the entire nest
• Mob hunting: Locate all creepers or skeletons in a dark area
• Mob farm management: Verify your grinder is working by hitting one mob and watching others light up
• PvP preparation: Scout enemy positions in low-light situations

Stacking with Other Effects

The glow effect works independently of other trims. You can use a Lapis Lazuli-trimmed sword for scouting, then switch to a different trimmed sword for combat. The glow lasts long enough for you to prepare your strategy or gather additional resources before engaging.
