Exploring the Enhanced World
Better Default Biomes changes the biomes you already know rather than adding new dimensions or terrain generators. When you load a world with this mod, existing vanilla biomes are enriched with additional content, so exploration feels fresh without altering the underlying landscape.
As you travel, watch for new decorative blocks and plants that generate within familiar biomes. These can be collected and used for building or decoration. You will also encounter over fourteen new mobs, each tied to the biome themes they inhabit, so different regions offer different creatures to find.
The mod also introduces new enchantments. These are obtained through normal enchanting means rather than special recipes, and they expand what your gear can do. Because the mod focuses on enhancing defaults, you can play it alongside a mostly vanilla experience. There are no required progression steps or quests; simply explore, gather, and experiment with what each biome now offers.
