Simulating Real-World
Glass Transparency
Better Clear Glass creates a depth-of-field effect where transparency varies based on your viewing angle. This mimics how real glass in buildings and vehicles behaves—you can only see clearly through at certain angles, while other angles show reflection and opacity.
Creating Convincing Windows
1. Build window frames using solid blocks around your glass panes to define the boundary
2. Fill the frame with glass using the resource pack's textures
3. Position yourself at different angles relative to the glass to observe the angle-dependent transparency effect
4. Add interior details behind the glass—furniture, lighting, or decorative blocks become visible or hidden depending on viewing angle, just like real windows
5. Use for vehicle builds like cars or aircraft where this realistic glass behavior enhances immersion
Design Considerations
The angled transparency effect works best when there's contrast between what's inside and outside. Bright interiors viewed from dark exteriors (or vice versa) create the most striking realistic appearance. This makes the pack ideal for modern architectural builds, observation decks, and showcase displays.
