Adjust Water Reflections and Glare Intensity
Finding the Shader Settings
Bad PC Shaders stores its configuration in your shader options menu. Open this by pressing the designated shader settings key while in-game, or access it through your video settings if using Iris or similar loader.
Tuning Water Effects
Locate the water-related options in the shader config. You'll find sliders controlling glare brightness and reflection intensity. If the water glare feels too strong and distracts you, reduce the glare value to tone down the effect. Conversely, increase it if you want more pronounced reflections on water surfaces.
Test your changes by standing near different water bodies—oceans, rivers, and lakes may look different depending on sky conditions and time of day. Sunset and sunrise hours showcase the water effects most dramatically.
Saving Your Preferences
Changes apply immediately in most cases. If your shader loader requires it, confirm and save your settings before exiting the menu. Your adjustments persist across game sessions.
