AMIDST Project Technical Details

AMIDST is distributed as free and open-source software under the GNU General Public License version 3.0 (GPLv3). It operates independently and is not owned by or officially related to Mojang Studios. The application connects to Mojang web services to retrieve information about Minecraft versions and to display player data, such as names or skins. It also performs checks for available updates upon startup. While older iterations of AMIDST incorporated Google Analytics, current versions of the tool do not track user data.
