A Creature-Focused Expansion

Alex's Mobs is a mod built around adding real-world-inspired creatures to Minecraft, each with its own behavior and drops. Because the mod spans many biomes, your first step is simply exploring. New animals appear across land, water, and sky, and many are passive until provoked.

The Animal Dictionary is your in-game reference. Craft or obtain it early and use it to look up any creature you encounter, since it documents behavior, drops, and related items without you needing to guess.

Many mobs drop unique materials rather than standard loot. These materials feed into the mod's crafting tree, producing blocks, gear, and decorative pieces. Expect to gather from multiple creatures before you can build larger items.

Some creatures are dangerous and should be avoided until you have proper gear. Others can be tamed, bred, or used as mounts. Pay attention to how each mob reacts to you, and keep the dictionary handy as you expand your base.
