Understanding the New Resources
Alex's Caves introduces materials that behave differently from vanilla ones.
Amber appears as a curiosity and as a solid block, often tied to prehistoric biomes. Neodymium comes in forms like Azure Neodymium Ingots and Nodes, and it connects to magnetic mechanics seen in mobs and blocks such as the Magnetron and
Magnetic Quarry Smasher. Radon is bottled, and radioactive biomes also bring
Acid,
Acidic Radrock, and the
Bucket of Acid.
Creatures range widely: prehistoric mobs like the Atlatitan and Grottoceratops, deep-sea types such as the
Lanternfish and Gossamer Worm, and stranger entities like the Brainiac, Boundroid, and Candicorn. Some are tied to candy-themed blocks like
Blue Gelatin and Gummy Bears. Others, like the Nucleeper and Rayca, fit the radioactive theme. Many mobs drop or relate to specific materials, so check what each one leaves behind. Buckets exist for several fish and worms, letting you transport them between biomes.
