Understand the Risk
Xray Ultimate is a resource pack, not a mod, but it still gives an unfair advantage by revealing hidden ores. Most public multiplayer servers treat it as cheating and will ban players who use it. Before enabling it on any server, read that server's rules or ask staff. When in doubt, assume it is not allowed.
Keep It to Singleplayer
- Use the pack in your own worlds for building, testing redstone, or speed-mining resources.
- Disable it before joining any server. You can toggle it quickly in the resource pack menu.
- If you record or stream, be aware that viewers and server staff can recognize the transparent-stone look instantly.
Reduce Obvious Signs
If you are on a server that permits it, avoid behavior that looks like cheating: do not beeline straight to every diamond vein through solid rock, and do not mine ores you could not plausibly have seen. Even where allowed, other players may report you. The safest approach is to keep Xray Ultimate for private worlds and switch to a normal pack for multiplayer. This protects your account and keeps the pack useful for the situations where it is genuinely helpful.
