Copying, Pasting, and Rotating Builds with WorldEdit

Copying a build

Select the build with two corners, then copy it. The copy is stored relative to your current position, so where you stand when you paste matters. A common approach is to stand at the corner you want to become the paste origin, or to note the offset so the build lands where you expect.

Pasting and placing

Move to the target location and paste. If the build appears offset, you are standing in the wrong spot relative to the original copy point. You can paste with air included or ignore air so the paste only fills empty space, which is useful when merging a structure into existing terrain. Use undo if a paste lands badly.

Rotating and flipping

Before pasting, you can rotate the clipboard by quarter turns or flip it along an axis. This lets you reuse one wall or corner piece for all four sides of a building. Rotation happens around the copy origin, so test with a small piece first to understand how the origin behaves. After rotating, paste and check alignment against nearby blocks, adjusting your standing position until it lines up.
