How to Pre-Generate Chunks for Your Existing World

Before You Start

Pre-generation writes a lot of data to disk, so make a backup of your world folder first.

Running the Pre-Generator

Open the mod's pre-generation screen or command interface (the mod exposes a way to select a world and a region to generate). Choose the world you are currently in, then set the area you want covered. You can typically define this as a radius or a square around your position, or by selecting a center point and a size. Confirm the selection and start the task.

The generator will then load and generate chunks around the chosen area without you having to fly there. Watch the progress indicator — it shows how many chunks are done versus remaining. You can keep playing while it runs, but expect some CPU and disk load. When it finishes, the chunks are saved to your world, so future exploration in that area will not trigger fresh generation and the associated lag spikes.

If you need to stop early, use the cancel or pause control. Already-generated chunks stay saved.
