Use Behavior Modes Effectively in Different Situations
Understanding Each Behavior Mode
Your companion has four distinct behavior modes, each suited to different scenarios:
- Follow: Your companion stays close and moves with you
- Guard: They protect a specific location from hostile mobs
- Passive: They ignore all enemies and won't engage in combat
- Raid: They actively hunt down and attack nearby targets
Switching Modes During Gameplay
Change your companion's behavior mode through their interface menu. Switch modes based on what you're doing:
Exploration and Dungeons: Use Follow mode so they stay nearby and assist in combat.
Base Defense: Switch to Guard mode and position them at your base entrance. They'll defend the area while you're away or busy with other tasks.
Peaceful Activities: Use Passive mode when building, mining, or farming—they won't accidentally aggro mobs and cause chaos.
Mob Grinding: Activate Raid mode to let them actively hunt nearby enemies, speeding up farm efficiency.
Teleporting Back
If your companion gets separated or stuck in Guard mode at a distant location, use the Bound Sigil to instantly recall them to your position. This is especially useful when switching modes or when they've wandered too far.
