Switch Between Multiple Compass Targets

Carry Multiple Compasses

You can craft and carry both Biome Compasses and Structure Compasses at the same time. Keep them in your inventory or hotbar for quick access.

Switch Active Compass

To change your current target, simply hold a different compass in your main hand and right-click to open its menu. Select a new destination from that compass's list. The on-screen overlay will update to track your new target.

Manage Your Overlay

If you have the overlay enabled, it will display information for whichever compass you're currently holding. Switch back to a previous compass to resume tracking that target—your selection is remembered.

Practical Strategy

Consider keeping a Biome Compass and Structure Compass equipped side-by-side. This lets you hunt for both biomes and structures without crafting new compasses. For example, find a cold ocean biome with one compass, then switch to your Structure Compass to locate a nearby village once you arrive.
