Waypoint Tracker FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I craft a compass that actually works?
Place a compass in the center of a crafting table with four wooden planks around it to make a Biome Compass, or use four bricks instead to make a Structure Compass. Right-click while holding either compass to open the target selection menu.
Can I track multiple destinations at once?
You can only follow one compass at a time, but you can craft multiple compasses and switch between them by holding different ones in your main hand and right-clicking to change targets.
The compass needle isn't pointing anywhere. What's wrong?
Make sure you've selected a target from the menu—the compass won't point until you pick a biome or structure. If no targets appear in the menu, that biome or structure may not exist in your world yet, or it may be too far away.
How do I search for a specific biome if the list is too long?
Open the target selection menu and use the built-in search bar to type the name of the biome or structure you want—it will filter the list instantly.
Can I hide the on-screen overlay if it's distracting?
Yes, you can switch between bar mode and column mode for the overlay display, or disable it entirely through the mod's config options.
Does this mod work with other mods that add custom biomes?
Yes, the mod automatically detects biomes and structures from other mods, so custom content should appear in your compass menus.
Can I turn off specific compasses I don't want?
Open the mod's config file and disable any compass type you don't need—you can remove Biome Compass, Structure Compass, or individual targets entirely.
How do I create a custom compass using a data pack?
Pack makers can create custom compasses by following the data pack format in the mod's documentation—this allows you to add new compass types or restrict targets to specific advancements.
Does the compass work in the Nether or End?
The compass tracks biomes and structures in whichever dimension you're currently in, so it will search for Nether biomes when you're in the Nether and Overworld targets when you're in the Overworld.
