How do I make my first compass teleport work?
Craft or find a regular compass, then link it to a lodestone by placing the lodestone in the world and using the compass on it. Once linked, right-click the compass anywhere to instantly teleport back to that lodestone, even across dimensions.
Can I teleport with my horse or pets?
Yes—if you're riding a mount like a horse, camel, or strider, it teleports with you. For other mobs, leash them to you before teleporting and they'll come along to your destination.
What's the difference between a clock and a recovery compass?
A clock teleports you to your bed or active respawn anchor (your spawn point), while a recovery compass takes you to the exact spot where you last died. Both are single-use and must be crafted again after teleporting.
How do I set up a waypoint hub network?
Craft and place Waypoint Hub blocks around your bases, then right-click an empty hub icon to see all available destinations. You can customize hub names with renamed Name Tags, add notes with renamed Books, and control access with the Waypoint Lock item.
How do I let my friends use my waypoint hubs?
Use renamed Paper with player trust commands to grant access to specific players on private hubs, or switch a hub to public mode with a Waypoint Lock item so anyone can use it. Admins can always access all hubs with the wawo.admin tag.
What does the portal horn do?
Craft a portal horn and blow it to send a teleport invitation to other players in chat, allowing them to warp directly to your location. It's a convenient way to gather friends without sharing waypoint hub access.
Can I change the color of waypoint hub text?
Yes—apply dyes to a waypoint hub to change the display text color in the destination list, letting you color-code your network or match your build aesthetic.
How do I silence the teleport arrival messages?
Place a wool block directly underneath a waypoint hub to mute the teleport arrival notifications for that hub. This is useful if you want a quieter experience or are building in a roleplay area.
Do waypoint hubs work across dimensions?
Yes—waypoint hubs create a network that connects across all dimensions, so you can teleport from the Overworld to the Nether or End and back without any special setup.
What happens if I break a waypoint hub I'm linked to?
Breaking a waypoint hub removes it from the network, so you won't be able to teleport to it anymore. Make sure to set up multiple hubs as backups if you rely on a specific travel route.
