Understanding Orc Patrol Groups
Uncommon-tier orcs don't spawn alone—they travel in organized patrols across the landscape. These groups are significantly more dangerous than individual enemies and require different tactics than fighting a single orc.
Combat Strategy
When you encounter a patrol, avoid engaging all members at once. Use terrain to your advantage: fight near walls, in narrow passages, or elevated positions where you can control the engagement. Focus fire on one orc at a time rather than splitting damage across the group.
Bring appropriate gear: strong armor, healing items, and a weapon with good damage output. Ranged weapons like bows are particularly effective for whittling down patrols from a distance.
Evasion and Escape
If a patrol is too strong, retreat to your base or a defensible location. Patrols follow predictable routes, so learning their patrol paths helps you avoid encounters. Water and lava can also slow pursuing orcs, giving you time to escape.
