Understand what happens on break

When you break the Visual Workbench block, the block itself and every item currently in its crafting grid are dropped as items. There is no separate container to empty first, but you still want to control where those drops land.

Safe relocation steps

1. Clear the area under and around the block so drops cannot fall into lava, cactus, or a void.

2. If you are on a server with other players nearby, consider emptying the grid into your inventory first by right-clicking and pulling the stacks out manually. This avoids any chance of someone else grabbing the drops.

3. Mine the block with any pickaxe. Collect the workbench item and all dropped ingredients.

4. Place the block at the new location.

5. Reopen it and rebuild your layout. The mod stores items per block, so the new placement starts empty — the old contents came out as drops, not as saved data.

Tips

Use a hopper or a chest next to the break spot to catch drops automatically if you are moving a heavily loaded workbench. If you are using Silk Touch, the block still drops normally; the enchant does not preserve the grid contents.
