Vibe Wire Audio FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Where do I put my music files so the mod can find them?
Place your .ogg audio files into subfolders inside the config/stagebox/music directory. Each subfolder becomes a playlist that appears in your DJ Controller interface.
How do I connect speakers to a DJ Controller?
Place both blocks in your world, then use cables to connect them together. Once wired, open the DJ Controller interface to select playlists and control playback for all connected speakers.
Can I play music from multiple speakers at the same time?
Yes—wire multiple speakers to the same DJ Controller using cables, and they'll all play the same track in sync. The mod automatically synchronizes audio across all connected speakers.
Why aren't my stage lights reacting to the music?
Make sure your stage lights are connected to the DJ Controller with cables, just like your speakers. Lights only sync to music when they're wired into the same system.
What file format does the mod support?
The mod only plays .ogg audio files. Convert your music to .ogg format before placing it in the config/stagebox/music folder.
How do I make parrots dance?
Place a parrot near an active speaker block while music is playing—they'll automatically dance along to the beat.
Can I display custom text on LED screens?
Yes, place an LED screen block and wire it to your DJ Controller. You can then configure scrolling text and animation styles through the controller interface.
What smoke and spark effects are available?
Smoke machines offer modes like continuous, burst, pulse, rolling, haze, wave, ramp, swell, intermittent, and random. Spark fountains come in gold, white, orange, red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and rainbow colors.
Do I need to configure anything before using the mod?
The mod works out of the box, but you'll need to create the config/stagebox/music directory structure and add your .ogg files there before you can play custom music.
Can tracking spotlights follow a specific player?
Yes, tracking spotlights can be set to follow either the nearest player or a chosen player across the stage when wired into your system.
