Design Your Trap Mechanism
Camouflage pressure plates blend seamlessly into floors while remaining fully functional. They trigger redstone circuits when stepped on, making them perfect for hidden traps.
Building the Trap
1. Craft camouflage pressure plates matching your floor texture
2. Place them where you want the trap to activate—hallways, doorways, or treasure rooms
3. Connect the pressure plate to redstone wire leading to your trap mechanism (pistons, dispensers, doors, etc.)
4. Test the circuit to ensure it triggers correctly
5. Disguise the redstone wiring by running it under blocks or through walls
Concealment Strategy
Use camouflaged stairs and slabs around the pressure plate so it blends completely with the floor. Layer multiple pressure plates for larger trigger areas. Combine with disguised buttons or tripwire for additional activation methods. Add delays using redstone repeaters to create timed trap sequences. Consider using camouflaged trapdoors or doors as the actual trap—they open when triggered, dropping intruders or blocking passages. Test thoroughly in a safe area before deploying in your main base.
