Prevent Freezes When Opening Crafting Menus

Enable Recipe Caching

Open your configuration file and navigate to the ["Recipe Cache"] section. Ensure enableRecipeCache = true. This feature pre-loads and stores recipe data on disk so menus load instantly.

How It Works

When enabled, the mod caches all recipe information from mods like JEI (Just Enough Items) and EMI (Everyone's Made It) when you first load your world. Subsequent menu opens skip the expensive calculation step, eliminating freezes.

First Load May Be Slower

The initial world load takes slightly longer as recipes are indexed and cached. This is a one-time cost. After that, opening crafting menus is nearly instant.

Verify It's Working

Open a crafting menu (JEI or EMI) and scroll through recipes. You should notice no stuttering or lag spikes. If freezes still occur, ensure the setting is saved and your game has restarted completely.

Clear Cache If Needed

If you add new mods or recipes, the cache may become outdated. Delete the cache files and restart to rebuild it with new recipe data.
