Underground Worlds FAQ
20 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find an underground biome?
Underground biomes generate naturally beneath their surface counterparts—dig down in a jungle to find the Underground Jungle, under cold biomes for Spider Caves or Underground Tundra, and under deserts for the Underground Desert. They typically begin spawning around Y-level 0 and below, but you may need to explore vertically to locate them.

Yes—craft Freezing Tools using frozen cores found in Ice Dungeons within the Underground Tundra. When you hit mobs with these tools, they become frozen and immobilized temporarily, giving you time to escape or deal additional damage.
What happens if a mob freezes me?
Frozen Zombies, Icy Creepers, and Strays in the Underground Tundra can freeze you on contact or through explosions. Avoid prolonged exposure to these mobs, and consider wearing armor or using healing items to recover quickly if frozen.

Yes—each underground biome has unique loot pools. The Underground Jungle offers temple tools and Antidote Flasks, Spider Caves drop Spider Fangs, the Underground Tundra contains frozen cores, and the Underground Desert has fossils and ore. Explore each biome to find specialized equipment.
Can I bring mobs from underground back to the surface?
Underground mobs like Jungle Zombies, Black Recluse, and Frozen Zombies can travel with you if you lead them upward, but they may despawn or behave differently in non-matching biomes. It's generally safer to farm resources underground where these mobs naturally spawn.
Do I need specific tools to mine underground blocks?
