Completing Upgrade Tasks
Pets don't start with upgrade slots — you must unlock them through gameplay. Each pet can earn up to four upgrade slots by completing three specific tasks. These tasks vary by mob type and might include defeating enemies, traveling distances, or using special abilities.
Check your pet's status in the built-in directory menu to see which tasks are available and your progress toward each slot.
Finding Upgrade Items
The mod adds 30 regular upgrade items scattered throughout the world. Search:
- Village chests
- Temple structures
- End cities
- Dungeon loot
Upgrades grant new skills like fire attacks, water breathing, or life steal. Hold Shift and right-click your pet to open the equipment interface.
Applying Upgrades
1. Open your pet's equipment menu (Shift + right-click)
2. Place upgrade items into available slots
3. Equip armor and weapons the same way — pets can wear six tiers of armor
4. Changes apply instantly; experiment to find the best combination for your playstyle
