How to Fix the Food Book Not Tracking Foods or Rewards

If your Food Book stays empty, stops updating, or rewards never appear, the cause is usually configuration, a fresh world, or how the food was eaten. Work through these checks before assuming the mod is broken.

The Book Is Not Updating

Make sure you are eating genuinely different foods. Eating more of something already listed will not change the book. Confirm the item actually counts as food for the mod; some modded items may not be registered as edible. If you recently changed configs, restart so the new settings load.

Rewards Never Trigger

Rewards depend on reaching the configured number of distinct foods. If a server owner raised the thresholds, you may simply not have eaten enough variety yet. Check the config to see the current requirements. On a server, the config is controlled server-side, so your singleplayer settings do not apply.

Progress Reset or Missing

Progress is stored per player and per world. Starting a new world, switching servers, or restoring an old save can make it look like your entries vanished. If the book shows nothing after a world change, that is expected. For persistent issues, verify the mod is loaded on both client and server, since a mismatch can prevent tracking from working at all.
