Spells Spellcrafting FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I craft my first wand?
Gather wood or stone materials and combine them at a crafting table to create a basic wand—check the guidebook for the exact recipe. Once you have a wand, hold it and right-click to open the spell menu, then left-click to cast.
What's the difference between wand materials?
Higher-tier materials like iron, diamond, and Netherite create stronger wands that deal more spell damage and can cast higher-level spells. You can upgrade your wand by crafting it with better materials or adding gems to increase power further.
How do I add gems to my wand?
Combine your wand with gems at a crafting table or use the guidebook to find the exact recipe for gem-enhanced wands. Different gems boost different spell types, so experiment to match your playstyle.
Why can't I cast high-level spells?
High-level spells require either a stronger wand (made from better materials) or rare reagents that you need to gather or trade for. Check the spell menu to see what level your current wand can cast and what ingredients you're missing.
How do I summon monsters to fight for me?
Use a Summon spell from your wand's spell menu—you'll need the required reagents and your wand must be strong enough for that spell level. Once summoned, your monsters will follow and attack enemies automatically; hold an enchanted wand to give them buffs like extra damage or healing.
Can I move my monster army to a new location?
Yes—cast the army packing spell to store all your summoned monsters, then summon them again when you reach your destination. This lets you transport your entire force without losing them.
How do I use the Devourer swarm for mining?
Summon the Devourer and feed it metal ingots to make it dig faster and break harder blocks. It will automatically tunnel, cut trees, and clear large areas while you focus on other tasks.
What does the Reagent Pouch do?
The Reagent Pouch holds all your spell ingredients in one place and has a quick button to move items in and out of nearby chests. This saves inventory space and makes managing spell materials much faster.
How do Army Enchantments work?
Hold an enchanted wand in your main hand to apply its enchantment (like Ferocity for extra damage or Ravening for healing) to all your summoned monsters. Different enchantments stack, so you can combine multiple effects by holding different wands.
Where do I get rare reagents and magic ingredients?
Gather them from the world, find them in loot, or trade with the wandering merchant who appears in your world to sell magic ingredients. The guidebook lists where to find each reagent.
