Understanding Chunk Claims
The Sovereign Conquest mod protects land by claiming chunks — 16×16 block areas. Claiming prevents griefing, chest looting, and explosions from non-members within your faction's territory.
Claiming Chunks
1. Open the faction menu with K
2. Navigate to the territory or claims section
3. Stand in or near the chunk you want to claim
4. Select the claim option
5. Confirm — the chunk now belongs to your faction
Claimed chunks are contiguous; you cannot claim scattered, disconnected areas. Build your territory outward from your base in connected blocks.
Expanding Your Territory
Your faction tier determines how many chunks you can claim. Teams have basic limits, while Colonies and Countries unlock significantly more territory. Recruit members and rank up your faction to increase your claim cap.
Viewing Your Borders
If you use map mods like Xaero's Maps, JourneyMap, or BlueMap, your faction's claimed chunks will display automatically in your faction's chosen color. This helps you and allies see your borders at a glance.
