Gathering Silver Ingots
Mine 
silver ore from the Overworld or Nether, then smelt the raw ore in a furnace to create silver ingots. You'll need multiple ingots depending on what you want to craft.
Crafting Your Gear
Use a crafting table to make silver tools and armor using the same recipes as iron or diamond:
- Pickaxe, axe, shovel, sword, hoe: Standard tool recipes with silver ingots
- Helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots: Standard armor recipes with silver ingots
Understanding Silver Gear Performance
Silver equipment has unique damage scaling:
- Against undead mobs (zombies, skeletons, wither skeletons): Deals netherite-level damage and provides netherite-tier defense
- Against all other targets: Deals iron-level damage with iron-tier defense
This makes silver gear excellent for zombie and skeleton farms, but less efficient for general combat. Silver tools match diamond mining speed while offering better enchantability, making them ideal for enchanting.
