Where Silver Ore Spawns

Silver ore generates in two locations:

• Overworld: Look around Y=8 and below, typically near deepslate layers. Explore caves, mine shafts, or strip-mine horizontally at this depth.
• Nether: Search within Basalt Deltas biomes. Silver ore spawns throughout this biome at various heights.

Mining Silver Ore

Silver ore requires an iron pickaxe or better to harvest. A stone pickaxe will not work. Once you locate ore:

1. Use an iron, diamond, or netherite pickaxe to break the block

2. Collect the silver ore drop

3. Smelt the raw silver in a furnace or blast furnace to obtain silver ingots

Silver ore blocks themselves are decorative and can be placed for building. Raw silver must be smelted before crafting tools or armor. Mining silver ore is faster than diamond ore but yields the same number of ingots per block, making it an efficient early-game alternative to diamond gear.
