Simple Outlined Ores Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to enable the resource pack or does it work automatically?
You need to activate the resource pack in your resource packs menu. Go to Options > Resource Packs, find Simple Outlined Ores in the Available list, and move it to Active. Make sure it's positioned above any conflicting packs that also modify ore textures.
Will this work with my other resource packs?
It depends on what those packs modify. If another pack also changes ore textures, whichever pack is higher in your resource pack list will take priority. For best results, place Simple Outlined Ores above texture packs but below packs that modify UI or other elements.
Can I see the outlines on ores in my inventory or just in the world?
The outlines only appear on ore blocks in the world. Ores in your inventory, crafting menu, or item frames will display their standard appearance.
Does this pack work in the End dimension?
No, this pack only outlines ores found in the Overworld and the Nether. End dimension ores are not affected.
Are the outlines the same color for every ore type?
No, each ore type has its own distinct outline color to help you identify them at a glance. This makes it easier to prioritize which ores to mine based on what you're looking for.
Does this pack affect my FPS or cause lag?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures. You shouldn't notice any FPS drops from using Simple Outlined Ores.
Can I customize the outline colors or thickness?
This depends on the pack's design. Most resource packs of this type don't include built-in customization options, but you can edit the texture files yourself if you have image editing experience.
Do the outlines work on ores inside stone, deepslate, or other blocks?
The outlines only appear on exposed ore blocks. Ores completely surrounded by other blocks won't show outlines until they're partially exposed or mined.
What should I do if the outlines look blurry or don't appear at all?
Make sure the resource pack is active and positioned correctly in your list. If it's still not working, try moving it to the top of your active packs, or disable other texture packs temporarily to check for conflicts.
