Craft Your First Strike Rod

Gather Your Materials

You'll need a fishing rod and stacks of TNT. The exact amount of TNT required is configurable by server admins, but the mod is designed around combining a fishing rod with TNT on a crafting table.

Combine at the Crafting Table

Place your fishing rod in the crafting grid along with your TNT stacks. The recipe will produce a working strike rod—either a Stab Shot or Nuke Shot depending on your crafting setup.

Verify Your Rod Works

Once crafted, hold the strike rod in your hand. You should be able to right-click on any block to trigger an orbital strike. If nothing happens, check that:

• You have the rod selected in your hotbar
• Your crosshair is aimed at a valid target block
• The rod hasn't run out of durability (if durability is enabled in config)
• You have the required permission level to use strikes

Alternative: Use Commands

If crafting isn't working or you want to test immediately, use /orbitalstrike stab or /orbitalstrike nuke [count] to receive working rods directly.
