Preparing Your Oil and Sword
Blade oils are essential for tailoring your silver sword's damage output to specific monster families. Before you can apply an oil, you need both a silver sword in your inventory and the appropriate oil item.
Applying the Oil
1. Equip or hold your silver sword in either hand
2. Hold the oil item in your other hand
3. Right-click while holding the silver sword
4. The oil will coat the blade, and the sword's properties will update to deal increased damage against that monster family
Important Notes
Oils only work on silver swords—they cannot be applied to steel swords or other weapons. You can reapply different oils to swap between monster families as needed. Check your sword's tooltip after applying an oil to confirm the bonus is active. Different oils provide advantages against different creature types, so match your oil to the monsters you're hunting for maximum effectiveness.
