Monitor Ship Health
Your ship's health decreases from storm damage, collisions, and ramming. Deep water storms are particularly dangerous—the longer you stay in rough seas, the faster your ship takes damage. Watch for visual cues like creaking sounds or visible wear.
Repair with Planks
Right-click on damaged sections of your ship's hull with wooden planks from your inventory. Each plank restores a portion of health. The amount restored depends on the wood type used—hardwoods repair more effectively than softwoods.
Emergency Repairs at Sea
If your ship is sinking, repair it immediately. Keep a large stack of planks in your inventory before long voyages. If the ship sinks completely, don't panic—your stored items remain safe inside the sunken wreck. Swim down and retrieve them.
Prevention Strategy
Avoid unnecessary collisions and stay out of thunderstorms when possible. Use shallow water routes when your ship is already damaged. Plan repair stops at islands or coastlines where you can safely restore your vessel's health before continuing your journey.
