Dye Carpet in Any Color

Getting Started

Carpet dyeing lets you create custom-colored floor coverings for any build aesthetic. You'll need a paintbrush dyed to your desired color and carpet blocks.

Steps

1. Craft or obtain carpet blocks in any base color (wool carpet works best)

2. Prepare your paintbrush: Combine a paintbrush with your chosen dye in a crafting grid. The paintbrush will adopt that dye's color

3. Select the dyed paintbrush from your inventory

4. Right-click on each carpet block you want to paint. The carpet will instantly change to match your paintbrush color

5. Repeat with different colored paintbrushes if you're creating a multi-color pattern or design

Tips

• You can paint carpet in any pattern or gradient by switching between differently-dyed paintbrushes
• Painted carpet retains all vanilla carpet properties (flammability, sound dampening, etc.)
• Keep multiple paintbrushes on hand to speed up large projects—no need to re-dye between blocks
