Enemy factions spawn naturally in your world once the mod is installed, but you can accelerate encounters by crafting and using a player flare to trigger waves of enemies in your area. Different factions appear in different biomes and structures, so exploration will help you encounter all three main groups.

Land five consecutive headshots on large targets to stun them, which makes them take double damage for a short period. This is especially useful against bosses like the Flaming Head and Armored Whale, where the stun window gives you time to deal massive damage.

Use a stun grenade on the Turtleman to flip it onto its back and expose its vulnerable underside. Once flipped, it takes increased damage until it rights itself, so focus your fire during this window.

The Tentacliator and Glowing Tentacliator spray ink that blinds you temporarily; keep moving and use sound cues to locate enemies, or maintain distance to avoid the ink spray entirely. Ranged weapons are more effective than melee when dealing with ink-based attacks.

The Armored Whale has a glowing gem weak spot on its body; aim for that gem to deal significant damage rather than wasting ammunition on its armored plating. The gem is visible when the whale surfaces or turns, so watch for your opening.

The Federal Armament Consortium (FAC) uses iron-tier weapons and focuses on trench warfare tactics with walkers and snipers, while the Asgharians are a higher-tier faction with diamond-steel equipment and elite units including surgeons. Asgharians are significantly more dangerous and appear in more challenging areas.

RRC enemies spawn naturally in steampunk-themed areas, but you can minimize encounters by avoiding their territories or not using player flares in those regions. However, they're generally the weakest faction, making them good practice for newer players.

Guardian Statues are stationary defensive structures that guard ocean locations and fire lasers; they cannot move but can be destroyed with sustained fire or explosives. Destroying them removes the laser threat from that area.

Both units deal laceration damage and are dangerous in close range, so use ranged weapons to keep distance and avoid their melee attacks. Headshots are particularly effective for triggering stuns if they're large enough.

Salmon Riders are fast-moving targets that require quick aim, while Pufficus units throw nets that can slow you down; prioritize eliminating Pufficus first to avoid being netted, then focus on the mobile Salmon Riders. Keep moving to avoid being caught in net traps.
