Enable Realistic Terrain Generation for Your World

Create a New World with Realistic Terrain

To experience the mod's natural landscape features, you must select the correct world type during world creation—it cannot be changed after a world is generated.

1. Open Minecraft and click Create New World

2. In the world customization screen, locate and click the World Type button

3. Cycle through the available world types until it displays Realistic

4. Adjust other settings (difficulty, game mode, etc.) as desired

5. Click Create New World to generate your terrain

What to Expect

Once generated, your world will feature naturally-shaped terrain including winding rivers, rolling hills, steep mountain ranges, and varied elevation changes. Biomes will maintain their original block palettes and vegetation, but their landscape shape will be dramatically more organic than default generation. This applies to both vanilla biomes and those added by other mods installed alongside this one.

The terrain generation process may take longer than standard worlds due to the increased complexity of calculations.
