Pristine Vein Deposits Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why can't I see the ore outlines?
Make sure you've applied the resource pack in your world settings—it won't activate automatically. Check that your resource pack is above any conflicting packs in the load order, and verify you're looking at supported ores (Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone, Lapis, Diamond, Emerald in the Overworld; Nether Quartz, Nether Gold, and Ancient Debris in the Nether).
Do the outlines work with shader packs?
Yes, the outlines work alongside shader packs and often look better with them—shaders can make the bright borders glow more noticeably in pitch-black caves. If you're using both, load the resource pack above your shader in the pack list.
What color is each ore type?
The pack uses distinct colors for each ore: Lapis Lazuli is bright blue, Diamonds are cyan, Redstone is bright red, and other ores have their own signature colors to help you identify them at a glance.
Does this work in the Nether?
Yes, it highlights Nether Quartz,
Nether
Gold ore, and Ancient Debris with bright outlines, making them much easier to spot in the dark Nether terrain.

Resource packs are lightweight and shouldn't noticeably impact performance, but if you're already using multiple heavy packs or shaders, adding this one might have a minor effect depending on your hardware.
Can I use this with other mining-related resource packs?
You can use it with other packs, but load order matters—place Pristine Vein Deposits above conflicting packs so its textures take priority. If another pack also modifies ore textures, you may see visual conflicts.
Does it highlight ores in the Deep Dark or other special biomes?
The pack highlights the standard ore types listed in supported ores; it doesn't add special effects for biome-exclusive blocks beyond what's already included.
How do I remove the outlines if I want vanilla ore appearance back?
Unload the resource pack from your world settings, or move it below any conflicting packs in your load order.
Does this work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without needing admin approval or installation on the server itself.
Why are some ores not showing outlines?
The pack only highlights specific ore types—if you're looking for an ore not in the supported list (Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone, Lapis, Diamond, Emerald, Nether Quartz, Nether Gold, Ancient Debris), it won't have an outline.
