Connect Multiple Objects with Chains
Using the ChainCreator Tool
The ChainCreator lets you link physics objects together or anchor them to the ground, creating realistic chain connections that respond to gravity and tension.
Creating Chain Links
1. Craft or obtain the ChainCreator tool
2. Hold it in your main hand and press TAB to open the settings menu
3. Adjust the chain strength and length using the available sliders
4. Right-click on the first physics object you want to connect
5. Right-click on the second object or on the ground to complete the chain
6. The chain will now physically connect the two points, allowing realistic swinging and tension
Practical Applications
Use chains to create suspended platforms, tether vehicles in place, or build swinging obstacles. Chains respond to physics forces, so they'll sag under weight and swing when disturbed. Experiment with different strength settings to control how rigid or flexible your chains behave. Multiple chains can be connected to the same object for more complex rigging.
