Equipping the Dummy with Armor

You can dress your dummy in full armor sets to see how much damage reduction they provide. This lets you compare protection values across different armor types before committing resources.

Steps:

1. Place your Dummy Stand on the ground

2. Right-click the dummy with an empty main hand to open the settings menu

3. Look for the armor or equipment slots in the menu

4. Place helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots into the dummy's equipment slots

5. Close the menu and attack the dummy with your weapon

Reading Damage Reduction

Watch the floating damage numbers that appear when you hit the armored dummy. Compare these values to the damage you deal to an unarmored dummy—the difference shows you exactly how much protection that armor set provides. This is especially useful for testing enchanted armor or comparing diamond versus netherite protection.
