How to Fix the Plonk Placement Key Not Working
Check for a Key Conflict First
The most common reason Plonk does nothing when you press its key is that the default placement key (P) is already bound to another action in your controls. When two actions share a key, one of them wins and Plonk may never fire.
1. Open Options → Controls → Key Binds.
2. Search the list for the Plonk placement entry.
3. Look for any other entry also assigned to P.
4. Rebind the Plonk placement key to an unused key, or rebind the conflicting action instead.
5. Save and return to the game, then test on a block face.
Other Things to Verify
- You are aiming at a block face. Plonk attaches items to the six sides of a block. If your crosshair is on empty air, nothing will place.
- You are holding the item in your main hand. The mod places whatever is currently held; an empty hand places nothing.
- You are not sneaking unintentionally. Sneaking is used together with Right-Click for rotation, so if you are crouched your input may be interpreted as a rotate attempt rather than a placement.
- The item is not already there. Placing onto a face that already holds an item adds to the cluster rather than replacing it, which can look like nothing happened.
If placement still fails after rebinding and confirming your aim, restart the game so the new key bind takes effect.
