Locate Metal Sections
When you spawn, orient yourself and scan the landscape for large metallic fuselage pieces and engine components. These are your primary source of early-game metal resources. The wreckage will be scattered across your immediate area—look for dark, damaged structures with visible fire and smoke.
Break Down Plane Parts
Approach the metal fuselage and engine sections. Break these blocks with your fist or any tool to collect iron and other metal resources. The engines and hull panels yield the most material. As you harvest, you'll accumulate enough iron to craft basic tools without needing to find ore.
Gather from Luggage Racks
Luggage racks scattered throughout the crash site contain useful starting items. Open them like chests to find wool, cloth, and other survival essentials. These containers are faster to loot than breaking down heavy metal sections.
Prioritize Your Crafting
Once you have enough iron, craft a pickaxe first—this lets you mine stone from the surrounding terrain and access better resources. Use wool and cloth for beds and early shelter building. This approach gets you equipped faster than traditional tree-punching.
