Transition from Crash Site Resources to Mining
Exhaust Plane Part Resources
Continue breaking down fuselage sections and engines until you've collected most available metal. Once the easily accessible plane materials are depleted, you'll need to expand your resource gathering to stone and ore.
Craft a Stone Pickaxe
Use your collected iron to craft a proper pickaxe if you haven't already. This tool is essential for mining stone and accessing deeper ore deposits. With a stone pickaxe, you can mine coal ore for fuel and begin working toward iron ore mining.
Locate Stone and Ore Nearby
Explore the terrain around the crash site for exposed stone and ore deposits. Mine these with your pickaxe to gather materials for better tools. Look for coal first—it provides fuel for furnaces and torches.
Build a Furnace
Craft a furnace from your collected stone. Place it near your shelter to smelt raw ore into usable metal. This marks your transition from scavenging wreckage to traditional mining and crafting. From here, you can pursue normal survival progression with a significant early-game advantage.
