Personatours Super Powered FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I pick my character class when I start a new world?
When you create a new world with the mod installed, you'll see a character selection screen before spawning. Browse the 16 available movesets, read their descriptions and difficulty ratings, and click to confirm your choice. You can change your class later using the method described in the character switching guide.
What do the hotkeys R, T, and V do?
These are your primary ability hotkeys—each one triggers a different active skill from your character's moveset. The specific ability tied to each key depends on which class you're playing; check your character's skill list to see which power is assigned to which key.
Can I use my abilities in PvP or only in PvE?
All character abilities work in both PvP and PvE scenarios, making the mod designed for multiplayer combat. However, some abilities like Reborne's invisibility or Jaguar's creeper avoidance are more useful against mobs, while others like Brute's dash excel in player-versus-player fights.
Do my abilities have cooldowns, and how do I know when they're ready?
Yes, each active skill has its own individual cooldown timer to keep gameplay balanced. The mod displays cooldown status in your HUD or hotbar, so you'll see when each ability is available to use again.
What's the difference between active skills and passive traits?
Active skills are powers you trigger manually with hotkeys (like Cyborg's thrusters or Wormholer's portals), while passive traits are always-on benefits (like Jaguar avoiding creeper detection or Metamorph's size flexibility). Every class has both.
Does this mod give permanent stat penalties or debuffs?
No—the mod is designed to avoid permanent negative effects on your character. All balance comes from cooldown timers on abilities, so you can play regular survival without worrying about lasting stat penalties.
I'm playing Mechanoid and see a B key mentioned—what does that do?
Pressing B opens the Mechanoid's extra control menu, which gives you access to additional options or settings specific to that class. Check your character's guide for what functions are available in that menu.
Can I rebind my ability keys to something other than R, T, and V?
Yes, you can rebind all ability keys in the standard Minecraft controls menu under Options. Search for your mod's ability names and assign them to whatever keys feel comfortable for you.
Do I lose my abilities if I die, or do they come back?
Your abilities stay with you after death—they're tied to your character class, not your inventory. Some classes like Reborne have special death mechanics (like a second life), but your moveset itself is permanent.
Can multiple players use the same character class in multiplayer?
Yes, multiple players can choose the same moveset in the same world. The mod is built for multiplayer fun, so there's no restriction on class overlap—you can have two Cyborgs or three Brutes on the same server.
